Tuesday 1st July – Engineering Challenge

Can your child think outside the box? This fast-paced session is full of exciting design and construction challenges. Children will learn about real-world engineering as they build, test, and improve their own creations using everyday materials.

Tuesday 8th July – Crime Scene Investigation: Intro to Forensics

Step into the shoes of a young detective! Kids will basic forensic techniques as they work to solve a fictional crime. They'll use real forensic techniques to collect evidence and crack the case—perfect for curious minds who love a good mystery.

Tuesday 22nd July – Screen-Free Coding

Think coding means screens? Think again! In this unplugged session, kids will explore the logic behind computer programming through fun, hands-on activities. A fantastic way to build computational thinking without a device in sight.

Tuesday 29th July – Scientific Enquiry: Design Your Own Experiment

In this open-ended session, children will become real researchers. Given a scientific question, they’ll plan and carry out their own experiments—from choosing materials to recording results. It’s all about curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific creativity.

Tuesday 12th August – Cardboard Creations

It's amazing what you can make with a cardboard box! In this creative construction session, children will design and build their own inventions using cardboard, tape, and imagination. Will it be a robot? A vehicle? A crazy contraption? The possibilities are endless!

We run two age groups to ensure activities are perfectly pitched:

  • Mini Explorers (Ages 5–8): 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

  • Junior Explorers (Ages 8–11): 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

All sessions take place at 3rd EK Scout Hall, Carlyle Drive, East Kilbride.

Available for children age 5-8 or 8-11.

Keep your child away from screens and get them busy learning about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths through fun, hands on activities! Something a bit different! £15 per child for 1 and a half hours with a qualified Science teacher!

Only £15 for 90 mins of STEM fun!

Children with Additional Support Needs ‘Stay and Play’ family sessions

2 hours of interactive STEM activities, messy, sensory play, structured experiments and building challenges! Bring the family for £25!

For schools…

Children using a magnifying glass to learn about and explore science technology, engineering and maths in the outdoors at school as part of a workshop delivered by a fully qualified and experienced science and forest school teacher.
  • STEM 1 hour session up to 30 pupils £150

  • Half day Engineering Design process workshop up to 30 pupils £250

  • Half day STEM in the outdoors session for 15 pupils £200
