A: Our STEM Club sessions are designed to spark curiosity and foster a love of learning. Each session typically involves hands-on experiments, exciting demonstrations, and fun activities that explore various science topics. We tailor the content to the age group of the children attending, ensuring that each session is both educational and engaging.
Q: How do I book a STEM Club session?
A: You can book a STEM Club session by contacting us via email, facebook or instagram. Please book in advance to secure your preferred dates.
Q: How long is a STEM Club session?
A: Our standard STEM Club sessions last 90 minutes.
Q: Are the STEM Club sessions indoor or outdoor?
A: We generally hold our STEM Club sessions indoors, especially in colder months, as this allows for a safe environment for experiments. However, outdoor sessions can be arranged in suitable weather conditions. This is especially good when we plan to get messy!
Q: What should my child wear to a STEM club?
A: We recommend that your child wears clothes that are comfortable and that you are happy for them to get messy in! We provide aprons and gloves, but some mess is always possible!
2. Homeschooling Services
Q: What subjects do you cover in your homeschooling sessions?
A: We provide tailored homeschooling sessions that cover a variety of science, technology and engineering topics. Maths is not taught as a discrete subject, it is incorporated into our lessons as the need and opportunity arises. We work with parents to design a curriculum that aligns with the child’s educational goals and interests, while also working within the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

A: Yes! We bring all the necessary materials and equipment for the lessons, including any science kits or tools required for the activities.
Q: Is homeschooling available for children with special educational needs?
A: Yes, we are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment. We can tailor lessons to suit children with various learning styles and needs. Please feel free to discuss any specific requirements when booking.
3. Birthday Parties in private homes/ privately booked venues
Q: How does a science-themed birthday party work?
A: A science-themed birthday party includes hands-on experiments, exciting science demonstrations, and interactive activities that will amaze your guests. We work with you to choose a theme and activities that suit the age group and interests of the birthday child. We arrive around half an hour to twenty minutes before the start time to set up. We need a table/tables or floor space large enough to accommodate the number of children involved.
We will provide table coverings, aprons, gloves and trays (where necessary) to avoid the spread of mess. However, if you have a particularly precious item (such as a sofa) we do suggest covering it during the activities!
Q: How many children can attend a birthday party?
A: We recommend a maximum of 10 children for each party to ensure that everyone can participate fully and enjoy the activities. However, we can accommodate larger groups upon request and can adjust the activities and cost accordingly.
Q: How long does a birthday party last?
A: Our science birthday parties typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the number of activities and the attention span of the children.
Q: Do I need to provide anything for the party?
A: We bring all the materials and equipment for the experiments and activities. You only need to provide the space, decorations, and food for the party. We’ll take care of the fun!
Q: What is the cost of a birthday party?
A: Our most common parties for ten children cost £250. Pricing varies depending on the number of children, location, and activities involved. If you require something different, please contact us for a tailored quote based on your requirements.
4. School Workshops
Q: What kind of school workshops do you offer?
A: Our school workshops cover a wide range of STEM topics, including engineering workshops. We create interactive, hands-on experiences that complement the curriculum and engage students in practical learning. Workshops can be tailored to a school’s particular needs and are very flexible. Please email to find out if I can accommodate your request. I have worked in teaching for a long time, so I am willing to think outside the box!
Q: How long do the workshops last?
A: Our school workshops are either half a day, or a full day. Sessions within this typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on how many classes are involved and the type of session you want. We can offer longer (or shorter) sessions if needed, depending on the class schedule and topics being covered.
Q: Do you provide everything needed for the workshop?
A: Yes, we bring all the necessary equipment and materials for the workshop, including any tools or kits needed for experiments. We’ll work with the school in advance to ensure everything is set up and ready to go.
Q: Can you tailor workshops to specific age groups?
A: Absolutely! We offer workshops for a wide range of ages, from primary school through to secondary school students. The content and activities will be adapted to suit the students’ age and learning level.

Q: Where are your services available?
A: We offer our services in and around East Kilbride (Scotland). If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to confirm.
Q: How do I pay for services?
A: Payment is due on the day of the event. We accept payments by cash or bank transfer. In the case of larger bookings (e.g., school workshops or multiple sessions), we may require a deposit upfront.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Our cancellation policy is outlined clearly on our website. In short, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible.
